The Immediate Replies From Agencies

Nov 11th, 2008 by Alan Yu

Okay, so today I shot off an e-mail to an agency here as I was interested in learning more about it. From what I read this agency did both principal acting representation and background work. Now of course, as you all may know I am currently fairly satisfied with the background agent I am with, but I am a little disappointed with the principle representation.

The interesting thing to note was that when I sent off my request to learn more, the agent replied in less than an hour. Now while some may say that is a sign of an agency that just takes on anyone, again that falls in line with what I have been experiencing where if someone is really interested in you they will reply very promptly.

I know a lot of people usually say wait two weeks and then follow up, but for me so far it has always been they either reply quickly or forget about it. Especially with the Internet age where submitting your portfolio online enables you to see exactly whether or not someone in the agency looked at you.
