Reliable Transportation Is Important

Dec 26th, 2008 by Alan Yu

So the film industry is still on a break and today is the day for post Christmas shopping sales where stores put up crazy prices to try and get rid of old inventory. There are also good deals on new stuff too.

What was interesting was that during the day at a busy mall the rapid transit system was out of commission, due to the snow I assume. Therefore, thousands of people were stuck at the mall and were forced to take buses. Just look at this pile up at the bus terminal:

There definitely wasn’t enough buses for this incident. This reminds me a lot when working in film too as have a reliable form of transportation to get on and off set is usually a requirement for any type of work. Not only for situations like these, but often film work can start at the wee early mornings or end very late where public transportation is unavailable.

Therefore, you need to establish all of your options just incase something like this happens.
