I've always thought it weird that an actor could spend years playing the lead in theatrical plays and family will me mildly amused, yet if your elbow is seen on camera in a commercial or tv show, all of a sudden you're a big deal. I played a two-hander in a recent fringe show and some family and friends came out for support. Yet when I did a local commercial, with only 10 words I had to say, suddenly that was a bigger deal. I guess it's the amount of people who'll see you.

Good luck in your career!
