I got an e-mail about a film I worked on recently and it appears that they will need to do voiceovers over the original film dialogue due to the poor sound quality during filming. People often call this an “ADR”.
I remember for one film project before the person in charge of the sound actually left the microphone off for some odd reason and the entire film was recorded with no sound. As a result, all of the cast had to do a voiceover.
I never actually done this before myself and so this will be interesting as I will have to kind of match my voice level and expression to what is on the screen.

I got a message yesterday from a person about a short film production I worked on awhile ago. He mentioned that they are wrapping everything up and that I would be getting a copy of the DVD soon. I actually had a lot of fun on this one playing the lead role and the people that worked with me told me it looked very good.
The actress told me that I looked genuinely po’ed for one of the monologue scene that I did which was so funny I thought as most of the characters I play involve me being the one that is picked on. My only worry is that during the last day of shooting everything was extremely rushed due to time constraints and it was shot in a guerilla style. Example, I only got one take to do a specific monologue that day.
This was a comedy though where my character couldn’t stand his messy roommate. I hope it turned out okay.

I just finished auditioning for a short film that revolved around two technology guys that are having trouble with women. As evident, it is a comedy. I sure have been auditioning for a lot of comedy parts lately.
The audition went very well as the people were very friendly and I seemed to click with them. It was interesting too as the director and the rest of the people involved were laughing pretty hard whenever the comedy bits came up. At the end it appeared that the decision maker placed a mark on my headshot as a possible good choice.
It’s always nice to see your audience react as intended whenever you audition for a part.
